This class is for anyone interested in Agility or building confidence in their canine companions! Any dog at any level Agility will be welcome. We will be working on structure and control, and focusing on lots and lots of FUN!!! This will be a fast acting and high flying class where your dog will be jumping through tires, barreling through tunnels, tipping teeters, and learning to work confidently with and away from their owners! You don’t want to miss out on this experience!

Agility 2, May 18th, 2012

This class is designed to take our Introduction to Agility class to the next level! You will learn a bunch of fancy footwork to smooth out your coursing, speed up your dog, and save you energy!!

All dogs intending to take Beginners Agility are required to have a written recommendation upon completion of the Introduction to Agility Class.

Beginner’s Obedience, May 20th 2012

Beginners Obedience

For older puppies/younger dogs who have not had prior formal training. Here we cover basic household manners, confidence building exercises, greeting people nicely, problem solving and prevention, loose leash walking, and we lay the foundation for more sophisticated behaviors. There will be NO DOGS the first week of class. Humans only!

Beginners Plus++

This package deal is for anyone interested in accelerating the beginners training process. Whether you have a dog who needs additional help with fear or aggression, or you would just like to get a jump start on training…this is the ideal way to get started. The process begins with an approximately 2-hour long Private Consultation with one of the Certified Professional Dog Trainers at Paws N’ Claws Academy. During those two hours, we will cover any questions and concerns you have with your dog, introduce obedience cues, and will lay a solid foundation for day-to-day life with your canine friend. After that, you will begin 5 weeks of Group Class to sophisticate and refine the knowledge received in your private consultation; as well as learn new cues and tricks that are designed to build confidence, instill basic manners, and increase the overall performance of your dog.

Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Prep Course, May 30th 2012

In this class, our goal is to ‘proof’ your dog against distractions, teach him some placing exercises, improve the duration of his existing behaviors, and even work with him at a distance! This class will prep those looking to pass the Canine Good Citizen test or Therapy dog test while simultaneously fine tuning the dog’s overall performance.
