Basic Training Package: 3 Lessons

Private training is ideal for dogs who have behavioral issues that prevent them from thriving in a class atmosphere or for busy families who can’t make regular class times. Our private training takes place at our facility in Streetsboro where you will meet one on one with a trainer who will be able to help you accomplish all of your training goals. Your first private lesson will include a complete evaluation of your dog and last 1.5 to 2 hours. Your 2nd and 3rd lesson will last about an hour. After signing up, you will be emailed to schedule your first lesson.

If you’re struggling with a severe behavioral issues such as aggression or separation anxiety, this package might be the one for you as it includes an extra lesson! Our private training takes place at our facility in Streetsboro where you will meet one on one with a trainer who will be able to help you accomplish all of your training goals. Your first private lesson will include a complete evaluation of your dog and last 1.5 to 2 hours. Your following lessons will last about an hour. After signing up, you will be emailed to schedule your first lesson.

This class is for anyone interested in Agility or building confidence in their canine companions! We will be working on structure and control, and focusing on lots and lots of FUN!!! This will be a fast acting and high flying class where your dog will be jumping through tires, barreling through tunnels, tipping teeters, and learning to work confidently with and away from their owners! You don’t want to miss out on this experience!

In this class, our goal is to ‘proof’ your dog against distractions, teach him some placing exercises, improve the duration of his existing behaviors, and even work with him at a distance! This class is heavily geared towards those working to pass their AKC Canine Good Citizen test or become therapy dogs.

Beginners Obedience

For puppies/younger dogs who have not had prior formal training. Here we cover basic household manners, confidence building exercises, greeting people nicely, problem solving and prevention, loose leash walking, and we lay the foundation for more sophisticated behaviors. The first week is NO Dogs! Humans only!

Beginners Plus++

This package deal is for anyone interested in accelerating the beginners training process. Whether you have a dog who needs additional help with fear or aggression, or you would just like to get a jump start on training…this is the ideal way to get started. The process begins with an approximately 2-hour long Private Consultation with one of the Certified Professional Dog Trainers at Paws N’ Claws Academy. During those two hours, we will cover any questions and concerns you have with your dog, introduce obedience cues, and will lay a solid foundation for day-to-day life with your canine friend. After that, you will be placed in the Beginner’s class for 5 weeks of Group training to sophisticate and refine the knowledge received in your private consultation; as well as learn new cues and tricks that are designed to build confidence, instill basic manners, and increase the overall performance of your dog.

Length: (1) Approximately 1.5-2-hour Private Consultation + 6 weeks of group class
